Rubber bearings for propeller shafts of marine vessels and impeller shafts of pumps. Smooth rubber surface, when lubricated with water matches the extremely low friction of oil lubricated metal bearings like ball bearings. To this inherent property of rubber other essential bearing qualities are added by skillful engineering and processing. Bearings are resistant to wear, corrosion and swelling in sea water. They absorb shock and vibration. Their grooves are designed for optimum water flow to cushion the shaft. They are tough enough to meet the load and their strong bonding is fail-safe. In the manufacture of bearings U.S. Navy specifications are followed as standard. |

Unlike paper reinforced phenolic shells fibre reinforced rubber shells are unique because |
Like bras shell bearings they are tough but elastic. |
They get compressed into the tube but expands to circular shape and firmly grips inside |
Preventing rotation |
They are resistant to swelling in sea water |
They are hard but not brittle. |
They do no break, bend or get dented when hammered or dropped. |
60% Lighter than brass bearings in weight. |
Easy to extract and replace. |
Machineable like brass. |
Prevents electrolytic corrosion. |
Service life equal to brass bearing |
Economical in comparison with brass shell bearing. |
Matches brass shell bearings in all other features |
